Man United 'notified early'

Manchester United were one of four clubs said to have been notified of the guilty verdict against Manchester City before their Premier League rivals.

United were one of the clubs to serve legal notice to City in September 2024, over a potential claim for compensation. Arsenal Liverpool and Tottenham were the other three clubs to do so.

The Telegraph reports that the four clubs were contacted in advance of an email sent to the other 15 clubs on September 15. Those viewing the email had to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
