Barça plan to extend Patricio Pacífico’s loan until 2027 before making his move permanent. The original agreement with Defensor Sporting included a mandatory purchase clause once he reached 10 official matches, but a serious injury stopped him at seven appearances.
Despite that setback, the club remains fully convinced about his potential and considers him one of the best signings from the winter transfer window.
Deco closely monitored his surgery and recovery process, with Barça very satisfied by how he has responded so far. The club has also been impressed by Pacífico’s commitment during rehabilitation, as he returned to the training facilities almost daily just two days after surgery.
